Witech also does work in the residential sector. Site development for a 55-acre new residential subdivision in St. John, IN, for Olthof Homes included 150,000 CY of earthwork and 250,000 SY of fine grading to prepare for new roads, retention basins, easements, and house pads.

Using Quadtracs with scraper pull pans, crews removed topsoil from structural areas and areas of cut and placed it directly into non-structural fill areas and designated stockpile locations. The project was short on available clay cut, so a borrow pit was constructed in order to complete the required structural fills. Later, the borrow pit was filled back in with excess topsoil that was stripped earlier in the project.
