The project included mass grading, topsoil excavation and placement, subgrade preparation, and foundation excavation and backfill for building foundations, piers, and a water tank. Our team also furnished and placed stone under slab-on-grade sections, freezer slabs, concrete pavement, asphalt, sidewalks, and curbs.
This cold storage facility featured multiple specialized areas, including three freezer sections, a cold dock, and office space, each requiring varying slab depths and precise grading to meet structural and functional requirements. Witech moved over 190,000 cubic yards of dirt, including:
50,000 CY of topsoil strip
60,000 CY of site cut to fill
40,000 CY of borrow to fill
40,000 CY of fill borrow
