Project Details

Our client Alston Construction hired Witech to perform a variety of site development services for Project Pinnacle in Romeoville, IL. Witech’s scope of work on this project included stormwater pollution prevention planning (SWPPP), tree clearing & grubbing, mass excavation, mass grading, final sub grade preparation, aggregate placement for Building Slab on Grade, aggregate placement for concrete pavement and topsoil placement in green spaces.

This project had an excelled mass earthwork schedule dead line to hit. Chemical modification was not an option. Knowing that this project was a spring start with already high moisture content we really had to utilize the drying days. Stripping the whole job at once was not an option, we had to expose only critical path areas first to allow drying before preforming the next lift.

We utilized our Drone frequently to monitor quantities for any site adjustment. For this large of site / yardage being moved daily we could keep the client update on a weekly basis on any changes that may be needed.

We completed this project utilizing quadtrac tractors with scraper pans and articulating 40 ton off road trucks being loaded by large excavators.
