Project Details

Witech Excavating was selected by ARCO/Murray to complete full site development for the 1,200,000-square-foot GBOGH industrial facility in Morris, Illinois. This 12-month project included implementation of the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), tree clearing and grubbing, mass site excavation, fine grading, and aggregate placement for both slab-on-grade and concrete pavement areas. The scope also extended to grading for a new railroad spur and future development expansion.

In total, Witech moved over 530,000 cubic yards of earth and placed 65,000 tons of aggregate, delivering precise subgrade preparation and durable base materials that met strict industrial specifications. Leveraging GPS technology and experienced field supervision, our team ensured accuracy, efficiency, and a seamless coordination process from start to finish—culminating in another successful partnership with ARCO/Murray and a foundation ready for long-term performance.

The team’s precision-driven approach, led by General Superintendent Kyle Peel, ensured accurate grades, efficient scheduling, and seamless coordination with ARCO/Murray’s construction timeline. The result was a clean, well-balanced site and a stable foundation built to support a major industrial operation and future expansion.
