Witech Excavating partnered with LBL Development on the Park West subdivision project in Dyer, Indiana. Covering roughly 20 acres, this fast-track development features 22 townhomes with seven units each. Awarded in early September 2025, Witech began immediately after Labor Day and completed the mass excavation phase—moving over 72,000 CY of material—in just three weeks to allow utilities and paving to proceed before winter. The project remains on schedule, with asphalt and curbs being installed before Thanksgiving.
Witech’s scope includes 22,000 CY of topsoil excavation, 16,000 CY of site cut to fill, 16,000 CY of borrow to fill, 16,000 CY of fill borrow, 2,000 CY of topsoil respread, and 50,556 SY of fine grading. Despite the challenge of two active pipelines running through the site, the team safely and efficiently installed equipment crossings to maintain productivity and balance the site. Through precise coordination and strong field management, Witech exceeded schedule expectations and delivered a well-prepared site for the next phase of construction.
