Project Details

Witech Excavating is providing complete site development services for the 40-acre LBL Commercial Development in St. John, Indiana. The project consists of five commercial lots and five townhome sites, requiring precise grading, balanced earthwork, and coordinated site preparation to support both residential and commercial construction.

The scope of work includes tree clearing and grubbing, mass site excavation, final subgrade preparation, and topsoil placement across all building pads, easements, and roadways. Witech’s team is responsible for stripping and stockpiling topsoil, building house pads and roadway subgrades with structural clay, and redistributing topsoil in pond areas and finished easements.

To date, the project has involved:
30,000 CY of site cut
60,000 CY of borrow
60,000 CY of fill borrow

Led by General Superintendent Steve Supergan, Witech’s crew continues to maintain tight grade control and efficient site balance—ensuring a clean, well-prepared foundation that meets the development’s specifications and supports future construction success.
