Zach's journey into heavy construction started early, growing up around family members in the industry. His responsibilities at Witech include checking grade, doing layout work, and helping manage day-to-day operations, all while ensuring the crew stays productive and on track.
What Zach enjoys most about his work is seeing how quickly projects come together and witnessing the daily progress on the job site. He thrives on the fast pace, even when it becomes challenging to keep up, as it keeps his role exciting and dynamic.
Working with a positive, experienced team is something Zach values greatly. He appreciates learning from his coworkers and credits his older brother, who has worked alongside him for much of his career, for helping him develop the skills and responsibility required for the job. One of his largest projects to date is a 1.2 million sq. ft. warehouse.
Zach is known for his commitment to quality and efficiency, which he attributes to learning from the best in the field. His favorite piece of equipment is the dozer, as it plays a crucial role in shaping the job site and supporting the rest of the fleet.
Outside of work, Zach believes that the construction industry has a lot to offer the next generation, providing growth opportunities and teaching valuable life skills like responsibility.
Raised in Plainfield, Illinois, Zach credits his parents for instilling in him a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility. When he's not on the job, he spends as much time as possible outdoors, enjoying golf and fishing in the summer and hunting in the fall. The mountains are his dream destination, and being in nature, whether hunting or fishing, is when he feels most like himself. Zach also looks up to his older brothers, who have played an important role in his personal and professional growth.
